Winsome Bowen
Winsome Bowen is a certified urban planning professional whose experience spans over 25 years in the civil engineering and transportation practice, with specialty in urban mass transit and community development. Her career accomplishments include development of multimodal transportation and community redevelopment projects built and in use across the United States.
Winsome began her career in community planning and deployment of child welfare programs in developing nations with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). In 1992 she expanded her professional practice to include community planning and redevelopment in post-disaster relief and recovery in South Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew, before she transitioned to the public transportation sector. In 2017, Winsome led Facebook’s HQ team and regional transportation strategy and external partnerships. Today, she is a senior leader at AtkinsRéalis in their Rail and Transit practice.
